The Clan Grant Society hosts its annual Clan Gathering over the weekend of the Abernethy Highland Games which is held on the 2nd Saturday in August. The Weekend begins on the Friday with the Society AGM at the Clan Grant Centre at Duthil at 4:30pm.
On Saturday members of the Society take part in the Clan March from the Nethybridge Hotel to the Opening Ceremony of the Games in traditional dress, led by our Parade Marshal, following the band of massed pipes and drums.
The Games are a great family day out and gives clan members a chance to meet their kinsfolk for a wee dram (or two) at the Clan Tent.
In the evening a formal kilt and black tie Clan Dinner & Ceilidh is hosted at a local hotel. Past venues have included the Hilton Coylumbridge near Aviemore, the Grant Arms Hotel, the Nethybridge Hotel, and the Royal British Legion in Grantown.
On Sunday morning the Tent Party assemble at the games field to put down the clan tent and new volunteers are very welcome!
There have also been Spring Weekends held in the North of England (Harrogate in Yorkshire, and Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria) and International Gatherings for our overseas members.

The Clan Grant Society has a Welcome Tent at the Games where society members from the UK and overseas can meet each other and share information with visitors relating to Clan Grant and its history. There is a visitor`s book to sign, fruit cake and a dram to enjoy, and the Society always hopes to recruit one or two new members during the day.
